Alan Ellis

Alan has been involved with Square Dancing for over 20 years. 

In 2013 Alan was approached by international caller Ken Bower to learn to become a square dance caller. He attended his first caller school that same year in Oklahoma City. Over the years he attended more caller classes both in the US and Canada. 

Alan has called at many Clubs, Campouts, Provincial Conventions and Festivals. Alan has also called for weddings, church groups, and clubs. 
He holds a number of positions with the Edmonton and District Callers and Instructors Association (EDCIA), Community Dance Capital District Association (EDCIA), Community Dance Capital District Association (CDCDA) and the Alberta Square and Round Dance Federation (ASRDF). 

In 2016 Alan was asked to start a club in Spruce Grove, Alberta. With the help of the Agricultural Society he has been instrumental caller with the square dance community.
