Our first 2 weeks of classes are review and dance classes. It gets everyone warmed up for the new season and the instructors get to warm up to cueing and teaching again. These are also Open House nights and guests are always welcome! One of the Thursday night classes we had Barb Bizovie, an instructor from Kelowna, BC, join us.

The Rotary Club of Fort Saskatchewan hosts entertainment on the Legacy Park Bandshell all summer long during Farmer's Markets on Thursday evenings. We did a demo last summer for an hour. Lots of fun and lots of people watching. The day started out as the perfect day for a parade. Blue skies. No wind. But the skies clouded over and we got soaked the last part of the parade. Not the best way to end but we had fun anyways! We had a spring picnic and dancing at West River's Edge with the Tuesday cloggers. It was fun dancing outside, some in taps and some just in runners. Good times. Good company!
We were back to our normal Windup night after a 2 year absence. We started with a potluck dinner followed by demos by each of the classes. Then the rest of the eveing was a fun dance. A great end to a wonderful season. We had our annual Tuesday morning Windup Dance followed by lunch out. Always a great time! After a 2 year absence we were able to have our Fascinator Tea again. It is our English High Tea where all must wear a fascinator (hair decoration). We had lots of fun dancing and then enjoyed an awesome luncheon. The Mayor of Fort Saskatchewan, Gale Katchur, joined us.
We entertained residents and guests at Rivercrest for the monthly birthday celebration. Due to distancing and masking they put up clear curtains that we danced behind so that we didn't have to wear masks while dancing. It worked well and the residents enjoyed watching us.
