About Us
Entrance Square Dance Club started in 1957 at a small community called Entrance just outside Hinton, AB. Dancing continued at various churches and schools in Hinton, AB until we got our own hall (about 4-5 kms from Hinton) in the early 1970's. We were one of the only clubs to have own our hall. When the hall was sold in 1998 we resumed dancing in town, currently in the basement hall of Hinton United Church.
We currently dance Modern Western Dance formerly known as Square Dance. (See "Footer" on this page) Dress is casual, dressy, western or traditional costume - your choice! Come as a couple or come on your own. We dance for Fun, Fellowship, and meeting new friends! Our Square Dance Caller Couple is: Bill Hilchie & Vickie Quinn from Whitecourt, Alberta If you are interested in learning to square dance we are considering doing an intensive weekend workshop so that you can start dancing with the more experienced dancers sooner. |
