Line Dancing
What is Line Dancing?
Line dancing has been around for many decades, but it really took off in the late 1970’s. It consists of choreographed dances with a repeated sequence of steps. Groups of people dance in one or more lines or rows all facing in the same direction or they faced each other (contra line dancing). Everyone dances the same steps at the same time. Many different genres of music are used, not just country music. Line dancing is open to all ages and no partner is required. Prerequisite: a desire to learn to dance. |
