We continued to cover expenses over early 2019. No cancellations in spite of a record cold February. Happy to see Snowbirds back on the floor, giving us 5 squares at times.
Next up is the annual general meeting, after dancing on 4 April. The current executive has served more than their share of years, so we welcomed the Carnduffs who volunteered last AGM. All positions are open for nomination/volunteering/sharing. If you can't do a lot, do a little, by ensuring the refreshments are managed every evening. Then, about 2 May, we have our windup, and fundraiser for Camp He Ho Ha, a summer camp for those with any kind of disability, which has long waiting lists. Check out http://camphehoha.com/. Details should be coming in emails and posters on the 'promo' table. FREE admission, all donations go to the camp; mainstream tips. Have a nice summer. Campout schedules also on the promo table. Invite your mainstream friends to show up for our plus lessons from the first Thursday in October, from 7 PM at St Edmunds. Absolute beginners can be accommodated any and every Monday evening at CDCDA sponsored "Square Up" group at Belmead Hall. We need people, people! " 2019 is the SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY of Lukes and Lucys. We're marking the occasion on about the first Thursday of November, with a potluck meal before dancing.. Start collecting memorabilia and recollections and ideas to add to this celebration.
